The MacBook Pro has been one of Appleβs most popular laptops, known for its premium design, strong performance, and long life. Older models (2012β2015) featured a solid aluminium unibody design, which made them slightly heavier but very durable. In 2012, Apple introduced the Retina Display, offering sharp resolution and excellent color accuracy, which quickly became the standard. The MacBook Pro was available in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, making it suitable for both students and professionals.
Performance was powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, with RAM ranging from 4GB to 16GB DDR3 and storage from 128GB to 1TB SSD. These laptops were great for multitasking, video editing, and graphic design. The older models (2012β2015) offered a wide variety of ports such as USB-A, HDMI, MagSafe charging, and an SD card slot, which many users still prefer today. From 2016 onwards, Apple made the MacBook Pro slimmer, added the Touch Bar, and switched to USB-C/Thunderbolt ports only.
Battery life on older models was around 7β10 hours, and they came with macOS versions like Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, and Mojave. Even today, the 2015 model is considered one of the most reliable MacBook Pros.
